On October 7, we encouraged all students to either walk or ride their bike to school with their parents. This was a perfect opportunity to have them join their child living a healthy lifestyle. We had several families participate. Students arrived on their skateboards, scooters, roller skates, bicycles, or just came walking with their family. The students really enjoyed this event; next year we plan on promoting it for a week or maybe for the entire month!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Several parents supported their child by choosing to walk/ride with them instead of driving them to school on this day. A few parents that live farther even decided to park a few blocks away so that they could still provide their child with the opportunity to participate in our school event. We had a greater turnout than we initially anticipated. Next year we will make it even better!
