Parking Lot Lines at New London
The Fuel Up to Play 60 team is committed to helping New London Middle School stay active! With help from a special donation from Arrow Precision - Asphalt Maintenance, the team was able to bring their vision into reality. Ryan Wilson brought his team to paint lines for 5 four-square courts, basketball lines, 3 mirror me circles, and one kickball diamond. The team will follow up the painting by purchasing new basketball nets, kick balls, and footballs to keep kids moving at recess.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Our student team met with the principal to ask about painting the parking lot. They were able to present their case and secure approval for the project. They then helped Mr. Wilson decide what games we wanted in the parking lot and where to put them! They were present while he chalked the lines and visited the painters on painting day!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The needed updates will make the parking lot available to students for many years!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

More students like going outside and playing at recess instead of playing with devices.
