Our Kickoff Event was held on November 18,2016. The high school reached approximately 20 students including the wellness team of 8. The Wellness team set up 6 physical activity stations which included hula hoops, jump roping, frisbee toss, football toss, knockout game and a fitness challenge. The students had to complete 3 of the various physical activities and register for FUTP 60 in order for them to claim their free food reward! Incentives from FUTP 60 were used such as the footballs and frisbees. The gym was warm, so most students worked up a sweat. The students also took Thanksgiving challenges on line. The event was a lot of fun and a success!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students promoted the event, designed the flyers, and created all 6 physical activity stations for the event. They developed a way the students could pick and choose which station they wanted to do, so no one felt forced. The Wellness Team set up each station and broke them down. They also helped get lap tops set up so the students could register for FUTP 60.
