Partner Up to Play!

High school students from OPS Blackburn and elementary students from OPS Kellom are PARTNERING UP TO PLAY! Blackburn is hosting a field day and inviting elementary students from Kellom to join up at the football field/track to have some fun. Together the students will perform football drills, frisbee stunts, track and field events, and more! The younger students will also learn about healthy choices of food and drink, while building healthy relationships with the older students. Everybody wins when we work TOGETHER!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Handouts made available at the event to support event activities, including sports ideas (football, Frisbee, track and field). Also, handouts shared supporting the 40 Developmental Assets and how to maintain healthy relationships.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Staff and students work together to brainstorm events, set up the stations, and monitor progress. Also staff and students work together to create safe environment, as well as delivery of prizes and acknowledgements.
