The students loved the competitive aspect of the Challenge. Results were posted in the cafeteria and it really motivated them to move more when they saw the standings! They also loved seeing their steps translated to actual distance on a map.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students and teachers worked together to come up with ways to add more steps to their day.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Next year we'd like to hold the Pedometer Challenge again and have it last longer/go farther. The students would love to see their steps "cross the country"!
