Students in 1st grade are doing Yoga Calm and using breathing techniques to get ready to LEARN. Students in 2-4 are doing GoNooodle in their classes for their fitness breaks. Students in 5-8 are doing either walking breaks, Brain Gym Techniques and/or GoNoodle in their classrooms for 5-7 minutes to break up their demanding academic classes. Students are also encouraged to join sports and extra curricular activities in their EDL (Extended Day Learning) classes. They do fencing, yoga, tennis, chess, and coding as well as many other classes. My Fuel Up to Play 60 student group has also encouraged their families to get on board with all of the points/tasks from this fantastic website too! Teachers have also been doing the 10,000 steps a day program to increase their physical fitness, and we have Tuesday afternoon Yoga classes for the teachers after school.
