Sunset Valley Elementary school students got the chance to try pickles made from their own garden. Over the summer, the garden produced an abundance of cucumbers. Staff members worked together to make pickles from their own garden. They served them in the cafeteria, where the students got to try them for lunch.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students that helped with the garden came up with the idea and shared it with the Food Service Manager. She thought it was a great idea and got her staff involved. Students got to tell the school and other students on the morning announcements.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

As long as the cucumbers grow, we plan to make it a tradition.
