Sunset Valley took part in a Pints to Gallons fundraiser for a local nonprofit that helps local families in need. They have always had a dry food pantry, but recently received funds and a grant to purchase a walk-in cooler so they can collect and distribute milk and other dairy products to families. Milk is a much needed item for families; they also benefit from yogurt, cheese and cottage cheese. Our FUTP 60 team took charge and created challenges among all the classrooms and collected over $1000 for Coldwater to purchase dairy items.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students decided on different days to do different coins. They make the posters and counted the money daily so everyone knew where their grade stood and adults and students both kept the competition going.
