Physical Activity Participation

We had an NFL Play 60 assembly with the St. Louis Rams. The mascot came to our school and six of our 5th graders got to play health and fitness jeopardy. They had to answer health and physical education questions. If they did not know the answer they got to phone a friend in the audience. There were also several challenges in the game as well. We used this event as our Kickoff event for Fuel Up to Play 60. The students loved it and will do it again next year.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We accomplished our recess goals by conducting a BRAX fundraiser to raise money. I was able to purchase board games for all classes for indoor recess as well as outdoor recess equipment to keep the students engaged and moving.
