On 3/8/2019 we had our Flag Football game between grade levels. It has become a yearly tradition to have a healthy competition between our different grade levels. The Powder Puff Flag Football game requires grade levels to come to together and practice for this event. In this game, the girls compete while the boys coach and grade level teachers supervise. The results this year were amazing!. The campus was able to raise money, and have almost a 100% participation turn out. This year, I was able to officiate and help determine the right calls. We are currently getting ready for the Corpus Bowl, and this time the boys will compete. Thanks to Fuel Up To Play 60, our kids are motivated and looking forward to competing against each other.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students come together by grade levels and work with teachers to find a place to practice and also to find a supervisor. Teamwork is highly important for this to be accomplished.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Providing students with healthy habits, like breakfast in the morning throughout the year, will hopefully transfer to their normal everyday life after school is over.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The only challenge we faced was not running out of the time for the games. We will need to plan the event a little earlier and have all equipment ready to go.
