Practice Makes Us Stronger
Our school has been practicing all types of football skills and drills. The kids wanted to perform most of the drills from the NFL combine so we have been do the broad jump, throwing for accuracy, vertical jump, agility, and the 40 yard dash. It has been awesome to see how each child is enjoying the challenge! We are working on getting our morning club established so that we can continue to push even farther with our goals and fitness!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Our kids are so excited about the opportunity to do something new, and related to football. I am a new teacher at this school, and we had this program at my old school. The kids are thrilled to be doing some of the same skills and drills as the pros! They want to do more exercises and push themselves in a healthy way!

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Our school is tiny! Funding is a huge issue for PE class because most of the money that is raised at our school goes towards classroom related curriculum, I have worked to overcome this problem by applying for grants and entering contests. I have also continued to be adaptable, and show the kids that you don't need every piece of equipment to lead a healthy and action-packed lifestyle.
