Physical Activity Participation

Tadlock Elementary took this year to have one of our big campus goals to address health/wellness and recess. We invested in the Dr. Recess program. We had a school-wide assembly for Dr. Recess. We also had a staff training over Dr. Recess, and PTA purchased recess equipment for the entire school. Recess has been such a great place this year. More kids are active, and there are less issues on the playground.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We've used PE and our health/wellness classes to refresh our kids on the different Dr. Recess games and activities. We've also used the first part of some or our weekly staff meetings to refresh our teachers on some of the games and activities rules.
