Our entire student body at Elm Creek ran in our 11th annual Pumpkin run Halloween week. The students in each grade level run a predetermined course with a set time chosen for each grade level. If the students complete the running course of ¾ mile within the time frame designated, their name goes into a drawing for a large pumpkin and other fuel up to play 60 prizes. One girl and one boy from each classroom win a pumpkin! Our students look forward to the pumpkin run every year. It has been great fun! Our Fuel Up to Play 60 wellness team members are a huge help with our younger grades. Our success rate this year of students completing the running challenge was 97%! Elm Creek Elementary rocks!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Our students look forward to the pumpkin run. All of our student population (K-5th grade) participates in this challenge regardless of disabilities. It is awesome. Our school percentage of participation and completion of this event improves every year!
