For the past 4 years, the WSS Fuel Up to Play 60 team has conducted an elementary wide punt pass and kick event. Our students look forward to this every year. It is an opportunity that we give the younger students to be able to interact with older students and be physically active.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

As an adviser, I worked with the students to help organize the event. Once the event started, the students ran the show.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

After conducting this Play, we saw students take an interest in more physical activity during recess. Students are playing more football and other games that include more running.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students are excited about FUTP 60. They look forward to the contests and activities that we do with them. It is a good program that emphasizes the importance of eating right and being active!
