Ramp up for Recess
Besides the leisure of free choice during recess, students hosted different games on the cement that are played during PE times. They would add these games randomly and switch it up every week. The students would receive feedback from peers to see how the games worked during recess and which games to keep to play for another time. The Fuel Up to Play 60 students would meet with each other to choose games and to set up for the games.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
Students would ask for equipment, help with rules, help with set up, and supervision.
What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
One challenge was when many students wanted to play, so to limit the amount it would be 2 classes who wanted to participate one day and the other two classes the next day, so forth.
