Recess Rocks at Stone Hill
With the grant money we received from Fuel Up to Play 60, additional equipment was purchased for recess. Several members of our faculty attended a recess conference last school year. We learned ways to make recess safer, more interactive, and allowed the students to get along and problem solve on their own. With additional money, we were able to add to our equipment wish list. Thank you so much!!!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students were asked to step up and help make recess safe. Our students have taken a leadership role and go every day to set up equipment to make sure it is all ready for when recess begins.

How did you accomplish your goals?

The grant money from last year helped our school receive additional equipment to be used at recess and also in PE class to learn the games and activities.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

In giving recess a refresh, it has become a much safer environment. The play for the students is more enjoyable, and the teachers are loving their time out there.
