Physical Activity Participation

Lunch Recess for our 5th and 6th Graders has be unproductive the last few years, so we decided to start a Run/Walk Club. Students can choose to run or walk our course trying to earn a Toe Token for every mile they complete. To try and get as many students participating as possible, we are also having a contest to see which class runs the most miles throughout the year. The Class with the most miles run will earn a Smoothie Party. We have nearly 40% of our 5th and 6th Graders participating with new ones joining everyday.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Continuing to come up with new ways to keep Students interested in joining the Club; new rewards or incentives.
