Chase STEMM Academy promoted increased breakfast participation and milk consumption by holding an event called "roll out the red carpet for learners caught drinking milk."

How did you accomplish your goals?

Daily announcements were made thanking learners for attending breakfast & reminding students the importance of eating breakfast. Staff walked around the cafeteria modeling drinking milk. When students were seen drinking milk they were given a "caught drinking milk" card. These cards were put in a basket for a drawing allowing the students to walk down the red carpet to get their prize which consisted of NFL swag, extra gym or recess time, or reading with an adult a book on healthy eating.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We will continue to promote healthy eating and the importance of breakfast. Staff will continue to role model drinking milk and will provide fun activities that also promote breakfast participation and milk consumption throughout the year.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

We have seen increased milk consumption here at Chase STEMM Academy since we have been promoting the importance of breakfast and milk consumption.
