We used the resistance bands this year! Our team decided it would be best to begin small with this and then branch out with the rest of the school. Many classes are using GoNoodle and other movement type of activities for breaks in the classroom, but we thought the bands could add a different element of muscle toning and building. We used the diagrams to help model the right kind of exercises. Other classes were able to check out the bands based on interest and need.
How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?
We hope to get more bands next year and use it as a part of classroom brain breaks on a regular basis.
What improvements have you seen at your school?
Students are paying more attention to what they eat, how active they are, and that building strong bones and muscles is important.
