The staff and PE coaches collaborated with the school's PTA to revamp the recess program. PTA raised funds, and purchased Equipment Packs for all grade levels. Students are enjoying their recess and learning social skills and staying active. Many of our students volunteer and participate in our "picky Pete Clean Up Project", including our Fuel Up To Play 60 members! These students pick up trash in and around the school playground area. A clean playground promotes safety and learning. Recognition is given to our volunteers. They earn a certificate, free Whataburger Jr. coupon and a bracelet.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Everyone was willing to do what was best for the school.
