Each year, through an interview and application process, we select 8-10 ambassadors to lead the program. We kicked off this year with Stop and Go signs throughout the school. It helped introduce the the FUTP 60 program to students across the board. Our ambassadors were also responsible for researching information and creating the posters.
What improvements have you seen at your school?
These visual cues to find ways to be active are placed all over the school, especially in areas where students see a lot (water fountains, cafeteria wait lines). The students are learning about ways that exercise can be fun. Our student ambassadors also presented the posters in PE class to all classes to demonstrate and explain activities.
How did you accomplish your goals?
This play was a great way to introduce exercise as something fun. It also gave our ambassadors opportunities to present in front of peers.
