Our Fuel Up to Play 60 team helped organize a punt, pass, and kick event for our 2015-16 Kickoff! All students were encouraged to dress in support of their favorite football team. Our local high school football players helped run the stations. Student leaders promoted the Kickoff with posters and announcments. Our Fuel Up to Play 60 team was the loudest cheerleading section too! A local apple farmer helped us get over 300 apples to serve as a healthy snack. Staff and student participation was near 100%!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We have football players read in classrooms each fall. This was an extension of their involvement in our school. Everyone had so much fun that this is anticipated to be an annual event from now on!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Adults helped facilitate communication with staff and coordinated the football players. Students helped promote the event with posters and announcements.
