Our group has been working to plan out our community event. This event is schedule for March 20, 2018! We have been working hard to reach our community public health resources (department of health, Red Cross, food bank and our local child programs), our local farmers (2 of them), and out-reach to the Norwich football team again. We are having a healthy taste testing for community members in our cafeteria and a community fun night set up in the gym for people to try out a variety of activities. This planning has been going on since September 2017! It is all coming together. We are even looking to have some great dance music going on for all to do a break out session! While doing the planning, I have had 2 students reach Ambassador status with 2 others close to achieving the goal! This is exciting and we are hoping to get 50 kids signed up for FUTP 60 by June 1, 2018! We wanted to share this great adventure we have been working on. Once we get it done, we will report back!

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Since farmers are very busy and their schedules do not match up to our school schedule, this has been a bit of a challenge, but we have been making it work. We are scheduling a farm visit once the weather turns to spring here in Vermont!
