First year for our school and we have over 130 kids signed up for our team. I decided to make an after-school club and we have over 80 members coming! Our first meeting we started two HUGE banners (the length of the gym) and the kids using markers, cutting out food pictures, crayons, etc. starting designing this banner about the importance of breakfast! We have been working on it for two weeks, and next week we are going to label the food groups for all the foods they drew and hang it in our cafeteria! A GREAT TURNOUT! We also have parents becoming Program Advisors!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The kids always tell me what they eat for breakfast! We always say, "You can really crank with breakfast in your tank!" The banners are BEAUTIFUL and the kids so proud of it!

How did you accomplish your goals?

Our goal was to stress the importance of breakfast through the pictures and words, and the kids did a great job!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The parents helped with the materials and joined in with the drawings. We also went to the computer lab and checked out the website together to see other Plays we can try during the club.
