Community Involvement

This past weekend we hosted our first ever Color Run! Our middle school and one of our feeder elementary schools hosted 200 runners on a one mile course. It was great!!!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students were instrumental in planning the event; promoting the event through posters, morning announcements, and flyers; leading the runners on the course, etc. The adults helped with the ordering of t-shirts, materials, banners, etc.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We have already been asked to do this again next year. We have added it to the calendar!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

We had over 200 community members participate and only see this growing. Our events last year maxed out at 150, so we are growing and it is only the beginning of the year!
