Running Out of Room
We are only in year two of starting a Fuel Up to Play 60 club and we have double the number of students getting involved just 4 weeks into the school year. Our advisors are excited, returning students are excited and the new incoming 7th graders are excited. To get students more active, we stared open gym the last day of the week every morning before school last year. We continued that this year and have already held open gym 3x this year. To our surprise our numbers were so high we are running out of room in our gym! We have to split the gym in half to accommodate all of the students that come for Flag Football. We really appreciate the Flag Football kits we won last year because they have made a big difference in getting kids active in our school.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

We have seen an increase in participation in our open gym held on Friday mornings before school. We are in year two of forming the club and our numbers have grown because of all of the fun and exciting activities we have done with our club. Kids that don't normally get involved with school sports teams are participating to play Flag Football before school.
