Physical Activity Participation

Our school had a Run/Walk Club that met for 30 minutes, two days per week. Over 100 kids signed up and attended the club! It's amazing to see a large group of kids being active together!

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

When 130 kids signed up, I freaked out a little. How was I going to manage this many kids on the field after school? I recruited two parent volunteers and set up a routine.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Kids are logging the miles they run or walk outside of school. Once 100 miles have been logged, the kids receive a certificate, a small prize, and a star on our "100 Mile Challenge" board.
