Teachers have started using breaks and transitions in the classroom with physical activity. They have emailed me stories of what they are doing in the classroom. Academic classroom activities have been moved to outside and around the school to have more room for movement to be incorporated. The students talk about how they enjoy it. This was based off one of the Fuel up To Play 60 Plays sent out by the coordinator.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We will send out reminders to share stories. Teachers will be given activities throughout the year in emails.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students and adults planned for things they would like to use outside the classroom so classes could be held in other places. This was for more room and for movement. Things were purchased based on these needs and wants.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Communication, working together, putting up things around school to get students involved and using our Fuel up To Play 60 team to help spread the word and be involved in activities with the campus. We will also hold a CATCH Night to involve the community and promote healthy eating, physical activity and fun.
