Grades K-5 talked about what it means to be healthy and active. They focused on the health aspect of their lives. With their classroom teacher during indoor recess, they brainstormed and drafted a poster to put outside their class to remind everyone to make healthy choices. The Fuel Up to Play 60 Kid committee judged the posters and the winners received an indoor recess in the gym and a Fuel Up to Play 60 tattoo. It was awesome!!!
How did students and adults work together as a team?
The whole school came together with a common idea. Teachers and students collaborated and created a product and presented it. The Fuel Up to Play 60 Kid council got a chance to model the poster contest for the school, judge the contest, and monitor/sponsor the indoor recess.
