Access to Healthy Foods

Henrico County School Nutrition worked with our Local Dairy Council to complete a FUTP 60 district grant so that we could purchase new milk boxes for 22 elementary schools and provide equipment for more activity at recess.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Our milk is now stored and served at the proper temperature with the help of our new milk boxes. Also, our students now have more options at recess with the purchase of the activity kits including balls, jump ropes and hula hoops.
