Setting Up a Play

The students decided to implement the In-Class Physical Activity Play. They asked the principal to have a meeting. Through their discussion, they set up a time to present at a faculty meeting. Each student individually led a different stretch for the staff members to experience for themselves. Each staff member was given a handout to post in the room and to utilize the "JAM" Breaks. This helped all students to be ready to learn each day.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students initiated contact with administration to set up a time for the students to make their presentation.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Each staff member was given the tools to utilize the "JAM" Breaks school-wide.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

After a "JAM" Break, students are more energized and ready to learn!
