Smoothie Don't Ya Want Some?

The student Ambassadors wanted to share a new and simple snack idea with the school. As a group, we came up with a homemade smoothie recipe using only four ingredients. We used Funds from Fuel Up to Play 60 to purchase strawberries, bananas, orange juice, and yogurt from our school cafeteria. The Ambassadors made the smoothies during the lunch shifts and gave everyone a free sample! They advertised the event in advance by making posters and flyers with the health benefits of snacking on smoothies!
How did students and adults work together as a team?
Both student Ambassadors and the Program Advisor advertised the event. The student Ambassadors took time to prepare the ingredients and put them in the blenders. They poured the samples into cups and handed out recipe cards to the student body. The Program Advisor was in charge of ordering the ingredients, running the blenders and keeping the Ambassadors organized.
