Snack Smart at Reeces Creek
Our FUTP 60 team talked about the school lunch and breakfast. They decided it was important to encourage other children to make healthy choices and eat better snacks at school. They started by making posters and hanging them in the cafeteria for all students to see. Then they designed a lesson and taught it to younger students. In this lesson they discussed the difference between healthy foods and unhealthy foods and why this is important. They talked to the younger students about how it is important to drink milk daily to help build strong bones and muscles. Many of the group explained to the other students how when they eat dairy foods, they have more energy and feel better. This experience was great for all involved!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The FUTP 60 team will continue to work on telling other students about making good food choices. They will also continue to promote dairy products as a way to develop a healthy body.
