Each year we host a family fitness night. This year one of my FUTP 60 leaders came to me with the idea of presenting healthy snack options that students could quickly make at home to the families attending family fitness night. She recruited two friends to help her with the station and she searched the internet for healthy snack recipes. At the event, she showed families how they could make healthy strawberry banana smoothies, ants on a log, peanut butter with apples, and vegetables with guacamole. The station was a bit hit at family fitness night and students walked away knowing how they can make healthy snack choices.
