Community Involvement

Our school and community came together and did a 5K together. Our local medical center was doing a 5K and we asked if our school could join and support the run. We sent information home with our students and talked about it in our morning announcements. We had a great turnout - over 200 people ran and we had over 35 families from our school join. Our next event will be a Turkey Trot to involve our families and staff.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We plan on doing this every year, sending out a newsletter to parents.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

We had a table that our school set up and we had our school come and meet us there. We all walked or ran together and met back at our school table.
