Success with Funds

We were able to purchase 35 pairs of snowshoes using Funds for Fuel Up to Play 60 and additional support from our PTA.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Our PE teacher and other elementary teachers lead our Fuel Up to Play 60 team. Our Fuel Up to Play 60 student team leaders organized a schedule for use at recess by grade level/day of the week. They promoted the event using posters and announcements.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Our funding was a bit short for purchasing the amount of snowshoes we felt were needed. Our PTA helped us in supplying the extra funds to make this possible in 2016.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The snowshoes belong to our school and they have a lifetime warranty. They are incorporated into the PE curriculum and kids will expect to use them at recess each winter.
