Access to Healthy Foods, Physical Activity Participation, Student Leadership, Success with Funds,  Teamwork

Soda Springs School District is kicking off Fuel Up to Play 60. 15 bikes have been purchased for the middle school and high school classes to share. Students are getting active and eating all sorts of new foods. Trying new foods has been fun and also rewarding for them. The Kickoff event had the entire gym rocking with students from all grade levels participating. Student leaders showcased each school. The school lunch program had tasting stations and voting for the best snacks.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Adult leaders taught student leaders about the program. Student leaders rallied their peers.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Keeping kids active and giving them lifelong activities to enjoy. Keeping things fresh and new is important.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students like the new foods they see. They also are excited about the new programs in PE and the access to equipment.
