Team Hoover has come a long way in just a few months this year. Our club has grown from 1 student to 10 as we continue to develop. Over the past 3 months, we have hosted our first Parent Fitness Night in our building and have been part of 2 Snack Better Events at a local elementary school. This past week was our Snack Better Soup and Salad Event. At this event, members from our team along with their families, put together a healthy salad or soup that was later shared with over 30 people in attempt to encourage healthier snacking. At this event, all in attendance had a chance to sample 15 different salads/soups from many different heritages. Recipes of each snack were shared and lots of laughter was in the air. These events are a great way for us to get families involved in the concepts that we believe in, which are achieving a balanced, healthy lifestyle. At this event we also set the ground work to host our next event, which will be a student fitness night, in which we will attempt to reach 120 students from our school.
