Souper Bowl Canned Food Drive
Two week before the Super Bowl, our Fuel Up to Play 60 team started collecting canned food to donate to the Weld County Food Bank. The WCFB has been delivering food to our school for many years and we felt it was time to give back. Our students brought in an astonishing 1150 cans of food!! WOW! Pretty impressive for our first food drive.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Each of the FUTP 60 members were assigned a classroom to collect and count every day. The winning class got an extra recess.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Our goal was to help fight hunger in our community and I believe with 1150 cans we did just that.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Or biggest challenge was counting them all at the end! What a task that was!. It felt great to give back.
