Community Involvement

Southwest Dairy Farmers came to speak to our students about the importance of dairy. They did a 45 min. presentation with a special guest "KATIEBELL the COW". The students learned about different breeds of cows and how much milk these cows can produce. They were able to see Katiebell get milked and the process of and importance of whole, 2% and fat free milk. The students left with a cup to use every day to drink the milk that is needed daily.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

I will discuss the importance of milk at least once a week and provide incentives to students that drink dairy on a daily basis.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The students come to me and tell me " Coach, I drank my milk this morning" or "Coach, I drank milk with my dinner last night". They are so excited and love coming to school to let us know.
