Spirit Week at Parr
Our Healthy Heroes team planned the best Fuel Up To Play 60 Spirit Week. During this week, students got to dress up, learn about making healthy snack choices and getting a little extra exercise. Our kiddos were also able to get the word out about our morning walking club, which kicks off next week. Parr Elementary loves Fuel Up To Play 60!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Our Healthy Heroes have been doing a great job at brining healthy eating awareness to our school. Students understand what healthy snacks are and why they are important. We are seeing much better snack choices inside and outside school.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Our Healthy Hero kiddos meet with teachers from our school, our PTA and our cafeteria manager to plan events and spread the word.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Our school is exercising more, creating more Brain Breaks and eating healthier. For our Halloween parties, most classes had string cheese, veggies, water, milk and fruit, instead of the old candy, cookies and soda. One class is even providing string cheese over cookies for their story hour share.
