Our school celebrated health week with 5 wonderful days. Muscle Monday- We wore team jerseys, and had physical activity breaks throughout the day. Tasty Tuesday- Dressed as our favorite fruit and vegetables and had a grade level competition on smoothies. Whiteout Wednesday- Wore white for healthy white teeth. Each child received a toothbrush and learned about dental health. Read Across America Day (March 2)- Dress like your favorite Dr. Seuss Character. Promote academic success. Fun Friday- Wear a Springhill Lake shirt, have a health assembly. Our Fuel Up kids thought of the week, promoted it, and even dressed as our mascot to get the kids excited about our week.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Our Fuel Up kids planned the week out with the School Wellness Action Team adults. Everyone worked together fundraising for the week, packing gift bags for each class, and promoting the event.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Kids are excited to be healthy and want to join our Fuel Up kids.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Through working together and creating a plan.
