Our Student Ambassadors have a desire to do something different from our past teams. They decided to conduct a challenge each trimester in order to keep FUTP 60 in the minds of our students. They planned and handled the first event with tremendous success and are in the process of planning their second event. The first even was a sprinting race. Each class had a race and each of those winners raced each other in front of the entire student body. For the second event they are coordinating with a regional "Hoop Shoot." Each class will determine the top hoop shoot winner who will receive a FUTP 60 backpack. They are planning to do a soccer event in the third trimester.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The team of two teachers and four sixth grade students held multiple planning meetings prior to each event. At the meeting, the teachers guided as the standouts planned the events.
