Access to Healthy Foods, Student Leadership, Success with Funds, Teamwork
We are using the funds to paint and spruce up our cafeteria. All teachers are gathering data on who is eating breakfast each morning with their class and encouraging them to get grab and go if they didn't. We are also using this opportunity to teach what is a healthy breakfast. We had a kick off assembly and have purchased menu boards, sound system and poster boards to help. We plan on having taste tests and contests between classes with most participation in eating breakfast. We have our "Chef's table" as a prize that can be won for good behavior. The student wellness team is helping serve food and participating in taste testing, gathering breakfast data and making announcements.
