During Walk-to-School Day, our student team handed out flyers about the importance of getting 60 minutes of exercise each day and making healthy food choices to support our health. While kids and their families walked to school, our team was split into groups; some students handed out flyers, while others invited ALL of our school (which doesn't happen on a day-to-day basis) to the playground area where they helped to facilitate several activities for everyone to join (i.e. Fun Run, Four-down football, Soccer, 4 Square, and more). For me this was a huge success, because our FUTP 60 team lead these activities with the supervision of school adults. Our community members raved about the great leadership that our FUTP 60 students exhibited and how much fun that was to start the day in a positive way for ALL students. FUTP 60 isn't just some additional burden to add to your school; its a opportunity to get student voices into the hearts and minds of ALL kids about the importance of exercise and healthy choices.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

With the success of this day. The conversation has started to of how to plan more days and/or how can this great opportunity happen on a daily basis.
