Starting to Make a Difference
In order to help our students increase their physical activity throughout the school day and before/after school, we raised money to start a Fitness Trail for our school. We have been able to use the trail for students to start logging miles for the 100 mile club in an after school program. Also students and teachers use the trail to get exercise during recess. Many community members use the fitness trail to stay fit after school hours. It has been a great way to get everybody moving and paying attention to the amount of physical activity they participate in each day. Our goal is to increase physical activity every day!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

I plan on using our after school program as "trial" run for the 100 Mile Club to encourage students to log their miles and get them excited about the 100 Mile Club.
