Stay hydrated with fruits and vegetables
Tully's wellness week's message is about the importance of drinking water. Each morning during the week the SWAT team makes announcements about choosing water to drink. The school will taste fruits and vegetables and learn about their water content, including the healthy benefit of vitamins and minerals. Each student will receive a water bottle with a choose water message on it. The first and second graders will have a healthy activity and taste a mango infused water drink.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The adults helped to pick a drink and the students did a taste test and made suggestions and changes. The adults and students worked together to pick the logo on the water bottle and the physical activities for the other students. The adults shared ideas for the posters about the water in fruits and vegetables and the students made the posters and wrote out the announcements for the week. The advisors help to organize the students and the SWAT members then run the activities.
