Staying Active with FUTP 60 the NFL and Discovery Education
Our Sugar Creek Elementary Fuel Up To Play 60 Student Team organized a virtual field trip with our Verona Area High School Football Team and Discovery Education. Elementary classes gathered to learn about how football players stay healthy and active. Students learned that they do not have to have equipment or be outside to be physically active. Teachers learned moves they can use in class for brain breaks and to get the wiggles outl. Our football players led the activities alongside our FUTP 60 CHAMPS. It was so much fun!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Our FUTP 60 students organized the event and worked together to contact the high school and invite the football players. Their head coach even came out.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Staff members present will also be showcasing some of these moves at a upcoming staff meeting to other staff members so that all classrooms can be using the physical activity moves to keep students moving in class.
