3rd-5th graders each received a pedometer, thanks to FUTP 60. Students monitored and graphed their daily steps. They had a friendly competition between each other and classmates and classrooms. It has increased their awareness of an active lifestyle.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Pedometers had to be numbered and assigned to students. At the end of the school day, pedometers were returned to the pocket chart and results graphed.
