On September 16, 2015, Strack held its first annual health and wellness fair open to the community. A number of vendors came out to share what services they had to offer to our families. Activities included a parfait station, an obstacle course, animal safety and awareness, chair massages for the parents, and alcohol awareness activites. We had over 150 in attendance and received very positive feedback.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Several student groups and their sponsors worked together to facilitate a number of booths at the event, including making smoothies on the blender bike and dressing up as fruits and vegetables while speaking about the importance of their consumption.

How did you accomplish your goals?

My goal was to bring together vendors from the community to share what they had to offer our families. We had over 150 in attendance and both adults and children gave positive feedback.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

I plan to build on this event each year and collaborate with our PTO to possibly add a fun run to the event.
